To celebrate the release of Michael Crichton's latest book Next, residents of the UK (we assume, given that there aren't really any published rules) have a chance at winning a DS, along with a copy of the book. Not that you care about the book (books are so 1990), but winning a new DS Lite couldn't be better, right? All you have to do is head over here, fill out a short form and you're done. Simple enough, right? We think so.

I've been a fan of Michael Crichton's books ever since the Jurassic Park movie came out when I was 12. I haven't read Next yet, though. Too busy playing video games, I mean working...

I've loved Crichton since I first read Timeline in 7th grade, since then I've bought all his new books (and even got Prey as a birthday present). He's a great author, but I really don't know why it's a DS and Next.
I mean, there is not even a handheld gaming device MENTIONED in Next. I read it.

Hmm, I should read this new book. I've been a fan since I read The Andromeda Strain when I was 12

They're offering a DS because there's nothing better you could win in a sweepstakes =D
...except maybe 2 DS's.

So those in the UK have to wait 6 months for books too? That's f'd up right there.

that doesn't make sense, I purchased a hardcover copy of Next in the UK months ago, how can it be only released now?

Are we sure this site is legit? They want my address and phone number, and I can't find a privacy policy anywhere here.

I care about the book, that's who. :P Chrichton rocks. Not as much love as I have for Stephenson, but he still rocks.
