Last month, we reported that the DS Lite had sold a total of
700,000 units in Australia. And, the most recent Q3 statements show the handheld dominating every other gaming system in the region. Coming in second place is Sony's PS2 system, following by the Nintendo Wii.
Console sales breakdown is as follows:
- Nintendo DS: 139,483 (730,076 total)
- PlayStation 2: 66,228 (2,118,646 total)
- Nintendo Wii: 61,027 (167,899 total)
- Xbox 360: 40,467 (222,136 total)
- PlayStation Portable: 28,374 (222,136 total)
- PlayStation 3: 27,533 (82,261 total)
