New Worms Open Warfare Screens

After discussing just
how gross worms are earlier today, we have to admit that we've been somewhat swayed by these new screenshots of
Worms Open Warfare, the vertebrae-less crew's portable outing coming soon on the DS and PSP. As you can see, the backgrounds are 3D, but the destructible foregrounds are slightly lesser-D. After the so-so reception the 3D incarnation of the series received and the DS' less than stellar proficiency at churning out polygons, this approach is definitely the way to go.

I think it would be great if they made this title a cross platform one. Playing against PSP and DS owners would be insanely fun.

Someone the Words series has always stayed under my radar, but I'm looking forward to finally finding out what the dirt dwelling little guys are all about.
Glad to see I'll have an option of getting this game on the DS or PSP - as my PSP has been sitting on a shelf for the past few months ever since quality DS titles have finally arrived.

This game needs, at the very least, single-kart wireless gameplay. At best, and what would DEFINITELY make me buy the game, I would love to see online play.
I wasted my money on the GBA worms title that claimed "multiplayer" action - you had to pass the system around to play your turns o_O Horrible.
