Final Fantasy III to support Nintendo Wi-Fi

At least, according to the British Gaming Blog it will. Citing Famitsu, the usually reliable chaps say that Squeenix's upcoming and frighteningly gorgeous Final Fantasy remake will sport some sort of Wi-Fi gameplay. Online, cooperative slaying of beasts and smashing of ancient evils? Yes please.

Sticking to the topic of pointy-haired adventurers and magical princesses, Gamebrink has posted some new scans of Final Fantasy III in action. They're sure to evoke some nostalgia within you, along with the lingering desire to visit an optometrist. They're quite small and blurry.

[Thanks Sense!]

4. It is the real FF3, the only one not officially released in the US.

This game looks amazing. Can't wait.

These images weren't great (they seemed to get smaller as I looked at more), but you can see the entire Famitsu scan here:

5. Looking at the scan I posted more closely, I think it's Shonen Jump, not Famitsu.

But it does say DS Wifi on it.

6. Yes woot woot! This is going to be more awesome than I thought, I especially like the idea of a Wi-fi system of sorts. It'll be like FFXI but without so many internet capable things or waiting a year or so for a party lawl XD

7. Heh, I should check my links before I post them. Hot linking isn't allowed on that site, so to get to the full page scan, you'll need to view this page:

8. I am a bit scared the online functionality will fall into the "your party fights your friend's party" camp. I guess that is ok but it just seems like such an easy way out and not that fun to boot. Did anyone ever go through the trouble of using two GBAs to do that with some of the recent FF releases?

9. Considering this is just a remake of FFIII, I can't see how else they'd add multiplayer. There's really no way to add cooperative online multiplayer to a game like this.
