DS games are looking pretty hot lately, but Brothers in Arms is just so gorgeous that we can't help but wonder what the catch is ... like maybe it will give us cancer or completely suck or something. Probably not, but we'll be keeping an eye out for anything that could cause lasting harm, either physical or emotional.
While you ponder our weird paranoias, check out the screens. They're after the jump.

Wow, I didn't know DS games could look this good! Any PSP owner would likely just laugh at this comment, but still...

Not to burst yer bubble but this looks awfully like Brother in Arms 3D for cell phones, or at least those screenshots remind me of it.

Looks a bit sharper on the DS but somehow this is also screaming out "Chaos Theory" to me. Remember, or maybe learn, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for the DS was originally on the N-Gage and was developed by Gameloft. While the N-Gage version got great reviews, the DS version fell through and on its ass with clunky controls and graphics being less then expected for the DS (even had some framerate problems). But who knows, this may actually turn out good. Here's hoping for that!

You're right, it does look almost identical...
But hey, that game got 9.5/10 on IGN, so I'm hoping that with the power and functionality of a dedicated gaming handheld, it'll be at least as good!

My geuss is, it's going to blow. Like, the controls suck, gameplay isn't there... framerate issues.. Camera issuse, all of the above.
Oh who cares, it's a Nintendo platform... Gameplay over graphics.
