DS Fanboy poll: Are you a member of a gaming family?

We were checking around Flickr today when we came across this picture above from user Capt. Moufette. It made us think about families and to wonder just how many of you all out there enjoyed the activity with siblings, parental units and nieces/nephews alike. Perhaps your cousin is big into games? Let us know in the poll below!

Are you a member of a gaming family?
Not really, I'm pretty much the only one who likes games.
Kind of, one or two members of my family play the occasional game.
Sure, they even own their own console and/or handheld!
I was raised in a proud, hardcore-gaming family!
I was raised on a Moisture Farm on Tattooine and spend most of my time looking for power converters at Toshi Station; no games in sight.

1. Yes, I have a gaming family, though I'm the only "hardcore" player in it.

And I'm slowly increasing the number of gamers in my family... last week I introduced my grandfather to Wii Sports. :)

2. My mother was the one who introduced me to games. And my siblings. We all game :] We don't spend much time together, but when we do, it's usually centered around a game.

3. My mom was a pinballer from way back.
My dad only likes bar games - pool, darts, cards, slots, trivia... etc.
My elder sister gets down with the PS2 all the time.
... I've raised my nieces on video games; they can own a lot of people when it comes to classic Mario Kart 64.
AAAAAnnnnnd... I'm the gamer of the family (predominantly)

4. Only my youngest brother (Around 11 years old), and me (19) play games. My other younger brother (16) likes playing games, but rarely plays.

Its odd, since my Dad grew up with Tetris, Pacman, Mario, and got me both an Atari AND a NES, he doesnt like VGs...

And my mom? She has some sort of a Vendetta against them. Its a shame, cuz V for Vendetta is one of my fav movies :P

5. Well I'm 39 and I've been gaming since 1976. I have raised two gaming sons and one daughter who games frequently but isn't quite as hardcore as we men. My oldest son is 22, then 18, and daughter 16. We all have our own Xbox, 360, PS, PS2, PSP, and Wii. We game together almost every other day. My wife doesn't game, but is a great sport about it. We have a great time and it has made us all very close.

6. My mom doesn't like consoles (or handhelds) very much, but loves playing games like Sim City. I taught her how to play it and nowadays she easily defeats me.

I could tell her Sim City is coming to DS... but maybe not, I want to play my DS.

7. My brother and I both play most games. My dad plays occasionally, and everybody loves Wii Sports (especially bowling). I'm trying to convince my mom to play Phoenix Wright, but she doesn't think she'll be able to read the words on the small screen.

8. yea, my mom was playing her NES when she was pregnant with me

9. Definitely! My mom keeps trying to steal my Wii and is tempted by my DS, and she was really keen on Dead Rising, though she preferred to watch that one rather than play it. When I was a kid, my dad and I used to play Street Fighter and tape our fights, and then we'd do commentary. Good times. :)

Now that I'm all grown up, I'm builing my own gaming household... I hope it's a tradition that gets passed down through many generations.

10. Two months after I bought my Nintendo DS, my father got one for himself. A month after that, my mother also got one. And three months later for X-Mas, it was my sister's turn to get one. So now every member of my family has his or her own. The dog is the only one without!

11. Me, my brother, my dad, and my mom all have DS lites..... Our "family game nights" consist of Tetris, Bust-a-Move, and Mario Karts. (Thank you Download play)
