Though we still aren't sure whether Mario Party on the DS will feature Wi-Fi multiplayer or not (though we so hope it does), we're still happy to check out new screens as they're released. Though the game is due next month, we really haven't heard a lot since E3. Then again, beyond the issue of multiplayer modes, is there much to say? We know the format for the game -- after all, we may have played a little Mario Party here and there over the years. And from the screens, particularly these latest, we know it looks good. So bring on the party! The latest look at Mario Party DS

Well, at the very least it sounds better than Mario Party 8, if only for the portability factor. Still, if it lacks online it's an automatic no sale for me.

Mario Party would be boring as fuck online.
Seriously, online play isn't that great.

I don't care how bad this game sucks. I will buy it. And it will be wonderful.

It would not be worth it without online multi player function. Unless all your friends have a DS to play, it would be a crappy one player game. Download play for those with friends who have DS's also would be good. None of my friends have a DS so I doubt I'd get this game if it's without online multi player.

Online play is important though Deuz, at least for some people. Most of the people I hang out with nowadays rarely play games at all, and even my own gaming habits have been declining over the past year. So what's the point in buying a Mario Party game that I would only be able to play in single player? All Nintendo would have to do is implement Friends only WiFi play and I'd buy it in a heartbeat, and in this day and age there's absolutely no reason not to.
