Wal-Mart puts GBA stock on sale

For all of you folk who enjoy using that other game slot on your DS, take note: Wal-Mart is having a sale on select titles. Whether you go with the option of picking up 2 games for $20, or 3 games for $25, it's a fairly decent deal, if we may say so.

To sweeten the deal even more, they're allowing you to choose from some compilation games, as well. Titles such as Risk, Battleship & Clue, and Centipede, Breakout & Warlords (!). So, if you're trying to bulk up your collection, you might want to head on over there and check out what titles they have on offer.

Also of note is the retailer's sale on DS games, but we're not sure there's much in their stock worth noting, except for Sonic Rush.

Sweet deal on Apollo Justice at Wal-Mart!

By sweet, though, we actually mean "really, really, horrible." Oh, snap.

Unlike the Super Smash Bros. Brawl preorder deal (which is over now), you won't be kicking yourself if you don't take part in this "sale." Still, we thought it was pretty funny of Wal-Mart to price a DS game (even if it is a game we really want) at $70. Clearly, walmart.com's headquarters have been taken over by an army of monkeys. Either that, or the company figured it had to make back the money that was lost on the Brawl preorder somehow. Even so, we feel that the same thing can be said about this Apollo Justice "deal" as was said about the Brawl one, with some slight modifications, of course:

"At $19.82 $69.82, this is likely the lowest highest you'll see this game priced for the next couple of years, so you would be a fool pretty smart to not immediately pounce on this. And you know how we feel about fools smart people -- we have no pity for them like them. None Really!"

In case Wal-Mart has fixed its pricing by the time you read this, you can click here for a larger screenshot.

Also, it's worth mentioning that Capcom officially confirmed a February 12th release date for Apollo Justice, which is a week earlier than the date that was originally rumored. We have no objections.

Nintendo gets its philanthropy on

As we all know, there's a ridiculous number of very good reasons to own a DS. But here's another anyway, for those who reside in Canada: right now, for every 20 DS Lites sold at a Canadian branch of Wal-Mart in the next week (November 3 - 10), Nintendo has agreed to donate one Lite to your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

A most considerate gesture, Ninty, and if any of our Canadian readers were wavering over whether or not to pick up a DS, here's your perfect excuse.

Wal-Mart packs Phantom Hourglass preorders with skins and styli

Most of the DS Lite skins we've come across in the past made our eyes want to commit suicide -- you could literally see them darting around, panicked, struggling in vain to grow arms and grab anything in reach to stab themselves blind with.

These Phantom Hourglass decals, however, won't disfigure your handheld; they could even by considered somewhat appealing. Wal-Mart will include them, as well as a Link-green stylus, with every $34.82 preorder. The only downside we can see in reserving the game through Wal-Mart is that the retail giant won't ship it out until October 5th, four days after Phantom Hourglass' release. Do you think these extras are worth holding off your Zelda playtime?
