Square Enix release dates: RoF due next spring?!

Square Enix spent the morning revealing its lineup of "fresh new faces and timeless classics" that the company plans to exhibit this week at E3, attaching US release dates to its upcoming titles:
We're jumping on our beds with glee over the fact that we'll be receiving Front Mission so early after the localization was announced, but several disappointing details failed to escape our attention -- Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire, It's a Wonderful World, FFIV DS, and Dragon Quest IX's absence; and Ring of Fates' distant date. The multiplayer ARPG and its DS Lite bundle are scheduled to hit Japan this August 23rd.

I find it interesting that Heroes of Mana now has a date of August 14 - the exact same date that Luminous Arc is due out. Could it be that Square Enix is trying to squash some competition?

I really for that bird. It's always horrible since I raise love birds. I've seen some of them dead even babies...
Oh right kind of bummed on the Ring of Fates but Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Pokemon will have me too busy.

If I understand right, Heroes of Mana is a real-time strategy game. Luminous Arc is turn-based. Gameplay-wise, they're night and day. If they were trying to compete with it, FFTA2 would be coming out then.

Yes, but the gameplay differences were night/day between Halo 2 and Metroid Prime 2, but sales of one killed sales of the other, as i recall.

This sort of thing still works.
