(Page 1)2. Damn. I own the game but this has got to be a huge mistake.
Meteos is hands down the best puzzle game I have ever played.
Throw in multiplayer and it's one of the best GAMES I have ever played.
What happens when my dust collecting psp fanboy friends finally see the (DS) lite? Meteos is one of the first games they'll want to get (they *all* love it. my nintendo hating, puzzle game hating friend purchased a DS after playing my copy of Meteos so we could play multiplayer and it is a blast).
Man this news really sucks. Thank god for the download feature. We can still play (limited) multiplayer.

3. Meteos is today's Tetris. And Tetris is still cool today. I even felt Meteos is even better that Lumines.

4. I am a true bonified sony fanMAN :). But I played this game the other day at walmart and I have to say i didnt want to put it down. This plus the new mario comming out is why i will purchase a DS. I am only waiting for the Lite to hit States side. The new brain training games are a must for me too. Are these released in the US? I will pay attention to what is released a little more closely when i actually get one. Oh well, until then back to lumines and go sudoku!
30 years old and still love games!!!!!
I want a PSthreevalution360. heh

5. I have to agree with the comment above. Meteos multiplayer could possibly be the great game of all time. Seriously. It's just... amazing.

6. That's kinda crazy considering wireless demo kiosks are out with demos of Meteos... JUST NOW coming out. Well, if this is so, I have my Meteos (and I still play it). That game would have been killer with Wi-fi. Forreal...

7. I've played quite a bit of Lumines on my roommates PSP and it was a lot of fun for a while, but after playing Meteos I can't even stand Lumines. It's slow paced to the point that it almost makes me want to yawn. I mean don't get me wrong it's a great game, but for me it's not even close to being as good as Meteos. I'd play it over tetris or most other puzzle games, but not over Meteos. (Well ok maybe I play it during those down times when I'm sick of trying beating my own scores in Meteos)
Neko: I agree. If they re-released Meteos with Ni-Wi-Fi I'd buy it again in a heart beat.

8. Hells yea I've had this, it's become a game that I could turn peoples displeasures of the DS around. And all this time, it still has replay value, even without multi-player(no mutli-player because only about one more person in my town has a DS). What sucks is that there are so many PSP fanboys that won't get off the case about how good the screen looks, and they have no idea how fun the DS can be. Fanboys need to die, except for Nintendo fans, they have reason.
Meteos+WiFi would seriously make it the most awesome WFC game ever, just imagine the possiblities.

9. If Meteos had wifi, it would be hard to put that over Tetris DS. Both games are great but Tetris is more lengthy in modes and has more players for multiplayer. They both rock though

10. uh oh! Guess I better grab a copy quick! :O

11. I just wonder if they aren't planning to relaunch it with wifi enabled... to me that would make a lot of sense and add another great title to their online library and I don't think delerious is alone among those that own a copy, but would spring for the online multiplayer.

12. Good thinking huZ. I was wondering the same thing.
Why would they want to take one of their most popular games off the shelves? Unless they're planning on adding some new functions to it.
The best one I can think of is WiFi. I don't agree with everyone here that it's the best puzzle game but still cool enough that I'll buy it again if they add WiFi.

13. You might be right Gonzo I could be getting ahead of my self. I mean it is hard to beat Dr. Mario after all :D
Have you played it multiplayer much yet? It might not be the best puzzle game out but I can't honestly say I've had a better time playing any other puzzle game than I have had while playing Meteos multiplayer. It's a blast. I dunno I just can't see my self having that much fun playing any other puzzle game(that I know of) even if there are better puzzle games out there. (I'm not sure that makes any sense).
Anyway I wish they would add Wi-Fi but can you imagine the amount of bitching there will be if that happens? Everybody will say Nintendo sucks because they didn't put it in there int he first place and now they expect everybody to buy another copy and blah blah blah. Know what I mean? Everybody will be happy, but at the same time they'll all be bitching and pointing fingers at Nintendo.

14. If this is true, it's truly a shame. Meteos is the only game from early in the DS's life that I still play. I think it is definitely up there with Tetris, though it is much more difficult and has a steeper learning curve. The music is terrific too. The game has tons of personality that is rare in a lot of the DS games that have been released.

Hehe... Opps...

16. I don't understand why this is such a big deal. Video games, especially cartridge-based ones, are typically discontinued after a sizable initial quantity is produced. Only the highest selling games stay in production and even then, not for long. That's why manufacturers have come up with initiatives like Player's Choice, Greatest Hits or Platinum Hits; to put the most popular titles back in circulation.

17. Am I the only one that thinks that maybe it is "discontinued" in Amazon's system because they'll be releasing it as a "NDS Classics" title or something along those lines at a lower price (19.99 or 24.99)?
