Joystiq presents

DS releases for the week of April 17

It's not a huge week for DS releases, but at least we're getting a handful of new games. The quantity and quality of the release schedule continues to improve... and that's always a good thing. There's a little something for everyone this week, including one particular title that's been getting a lot of gaming press. Will brain training fair as well as that virtual kennel game?

DS Releases
  • Brain Age: Train Your Brain
  • Guilty Gear Dust Strikers
  • Lost Magic
  • Top Gun
If you pick any of these up this week, shoot us a note and let us know what you think. As always, availability is subject to manufacturer delivery.

1. Hmm, I'll certainly be picking up Brain Age, Lost Magic and Top Gun!

2. Since when is Brain Age out this week? Amazon and GameStop both say 4/17, and I didn't see it in any ads in the paper today.

3. I think you may have set your clock ahead too far, everywhere I look it says those games come out the week of the 17th.

4. Anybody have any details of Dust Strikers?

5. umm, today is the 16th, which means that this week would include the 17th wouldn't it? unless calanders have changed and 4/17 is now a week later...

but anyway, i am tottaly looking forward to these games...too bad I am too broke to buy anything

6. All these comments about the date are confusing me...

This week is April 16-22. Brain Age is coming out on April 17th. That means it's coming out this week.

Although every other game on that list comes out on the 25th...

Anyways, I wanna see what kind of reviews Lost Magic gets. It looks interesting and I've been waiting for another RPG to steal my free time.

7. I can't believe Brain Age is coming out and you're saying this isn't a huge week for DS releases! Brain Age is a big deal, it's what made the DS so huge in Japan. This is the beginning of what could be the end of the possibility of DS really catching on in America. Or it could be the beginning of the phenomina that's happening in Japan.

Hopefully everything works out well.

8. Brain Age is great. Check it out, and I'll have a review up for it tommorow, hopefully. :)

9. I'm afraid to see how much Guilty Gear was ruined on the DS. Thank God for Bleach DS.

10. I stopped at my local Ebgames today to try the DS download station and while I was in there the got their shipment of Brain Age (I preordered some time ago). I love this game, but I don't know if I see it getting that big here in the states. It's very Japanese and I think it will just be a niche market here. Though it is a conversation starter when you start yelling out colors at your DS.

On second thought, maybe they really can hit the non-gamer market with this.
