Friday Video: Long Lunar Knights trailer

Most of the trailers we've seen from Lunar Knights have been in Japanese, so we figured it was a good week to show off an English version. The video weighs in at nearly three and a half minutes of world-saving, vampire-crushing hotness, and manages to show off just about everything a gamer needs to decide whether or not this one is a must-have. Now that's what we call a trailer.

1. Woo, looks pretty shiny! I quite like action RPGs, and it looks fun... But erk, the Yu-Gi-Oh art style and "kiddy anime" theme it seems to exude is a turn off.

2. Ive been playing LunarKnights for the past 2 days. The whole canime* look isin't the best, but besides that, it rocks. It plays sort of like a mix of Castlevania and old-school (1,2,GB) Metal Gear. The weather system adds a nice touch to the game. The shooting sequences could use more M`H-like controls (stylus to aim, dpad to move) though. I'd say it's some of Kojima's best work, like usual. I'd say buy it, Kefka.

*canime: canned anime, like you would expect from something like YuGiOh or Pokemon

3. Wow, this looks fantastic. I couldn't care less about the art style of a game. It didn't take away from Portrait of Ruin as much as people were expecting.

4. ok, so this is a stupid question... does that music come from the game? is there an option to play it in-game? i think i could stomach all the dialogue and whatnot if it was to that music - dig the trailer.

5. Well, I was still waiting for Crazylink's assesment, but that trailer is enough to convince me. I'm getting this game. It looks like everything I had hoped for.

6. Sorry Xian, I haven't got the game yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

7. Ooh, thanks ConstyXIV - I'll keep an eye out for it at gametraders or something.

Castlevania PoR had a opening movie with a style ripped almost 100% from Naruto, but that was about it. The rest of the game was oldschool Castlevania all the way. Well, less of a whip focus...

8. Lunar Knights, in my opinion, was a must have because... There's a cat... Said cat has wings. I bought Riviera for the same reason. Cats with wings are a thermometer of gaming goodness.

Aside from that strange reason, it is pretty fun. I'm not far, but I like it. Slashing is fun. The camera angle bugs me... It's like I'm looking down at them from directly above, but NOT. Gets on my nerves...

9. "Castlevania PoR had a opening movie with a style ripped almost 100% from Naruto, but that was about it."

It didn't change the fact that it was a brilliant game. From what little I played of LK, I can tell it's the exact same case.
