Cheeraholics will be glad to hear that four more songs for Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 have been discovered by a savvy individual snooping around Nintendo's Japanese website. Elite Beat Agents all the rage in Japan

Wired's Chris Kohler has been enjoying some time in the Land of the Rising Fun lately, documenting his trip through about a billion photographs. This one above, is of interest. It shows Elite Beat Agents, which is pretty much a sequel made exclusively for the U.S. market to that of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!, which is the title on the right. What's odd is that in Akihabara, the area of Japan that Chris has been trekking around, has a few places that sell import games, but he has found Elite Beat Agents in several locations, each one priced at 4890 yen (which comes out to about $41.50 USD). This is also odd, because Chris reports that the prices from shop to shop usually vary.

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! sequel is a go

Nintendo confirmed that the popular rhythm-based game Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! will be released to a hungry Japanese public within the confines of this year. If the name is unfamiliar to you, that's probably because you know it as Elite Beat Agents, the English-localized version of the game. Nothing else more has been revealed about the game, but stay tuned to DS Fanboy for future updates as they come.

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! Rumored! For! US! Release!

Siliconera, like many other sites (including this one, now) is taking note of a particularly juicy rumor currently scurrying about in the air vents of the internet. It states that Nintendo has picked up the ridiculously frantic and exuberant music-and-rhythm game, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! for a North American release. For the uninformed and importing depraved, it depicts the adventures of a motley group of cheerleaders parading about and encouraging people to succeed as they go about performing mundane tasks in their lives. Naturally, the game's concept and original name has passed through the butchering translation machine to produce Elite Agent Force.

That doesn't sound generic at all.
