Go to Target for the new DS Lite, save $10

Remember how we were telling you just last night that the black and red DS Lite is on sale now on its own, without the bundled copy of Brain Age 2? Well, if you're like us (see: tall, dark and handsome), you're already setting aside those precious monies to pick up the new DS Lite model. Well, if you decide to pick it up from Target, you can get it for a whole $10 cheaper.

It may not be the biggest sale on the planet, but we can all appreciate a few saved bucks.

[Thanks, Crazylink!]

DS Lite on sale at Target (but not really)

The Consumerist brings forth evidence of a horrible practice: misleading sale documentation. The guilty party is a Target in the Turnersville area (no word on where exactly Turnersville is), as a shopper named Colin found out while hunting down a DS Lite. Upon questioning a nearby employee, Colin found out that such an appropriation of "sale" only means that the product is meeting the price documented in the flyer. That's all well and good, but if something is marked as being on sale, shouldn't it sell for less than its normal price? Call us crazy, but we think so.

Target pimping out DS Lites

Here we thought it was enough that Target was selling our favorite games on the cheap, but that's not the only gem in their huge DS sale. If you happen to be in the market for a new DS Lite, you can also pick up one of these bad boys, though "bad boys" may not be the most appropriate phrase, considering the bedazzling, beaded array of special edition skins on display here.

It's a shame these aren't sold separately. Do we really need a reason to pick up another DS Lite, considering we all own like eight? No, we need reasons not to buy another! No wonder the games are on sale ....

Buy a DS Lite, help cure cancer

Dying for one of those precious new (in the U.S., at least) pink DS Lites? You've waited just long enough to contribute to a good cause by buying one. Through October 7, Target stores will be donating 100% -- yep, that's everything -- of their profits from the sales of pink DS Lites to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This is a good week to snag that early Christmas gift ... or guys, surprise your girlfriends, sisters, or nieces with a cute new DS, and if anyone complains about the cost, just tell 'em that's the price of being a hero.

Phoenix Wright stock replenished August 10th

Look, we try not to judge anyone, but we honestly feel that if you don't own, or haven't at least played Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, then you do not deserve to work here. Pack up your desk, don't bother to finish out the week, it's over, we're through, goodbye. Wait...we can't fire you, can we? Well then, we're no longer BFF, so how about them apples?!

You can put a stop to this madness, however, by simply taking the opportunity to purchase Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney once it comes back to retail shelves. Amazon and Target are already taking preorders, so there's that option. Or you could set foot out into the deadly wilderness and brave the vast amounts of nature (see: grizzly bears) in order to procure a copy at your brick-and-mortar outlet of choice.

[Thanks Mitchel!]
