(Page 1)2. Yes, I am a Wind Waker hater, but I'm looking forward to this game. It's not like I'm against Zelda being cell shaded, it's just that Wind Waker Link doesn't look heroic or Linkish, he just looks like he deserves a solid beating. I am not sure if he actually looks different, perhaps it is simply that he is smaller and his facial features are less obvious, but he seems less annoying here. Hopefully there will not be any sailing, stupidly done stealth levels, or reaaally annoying characters, if so, I am sure it will be a thoroughly enjoyable romp.

3. I don't see how we aren't Zelda fans simply because we didn't like the sailing elements. I would literally set myself on a course to where I wanted to go, head upstairs and make myself a sandwich, bring it back down and get halfway through it by the time I arrived at my destination. Convenient if you've got the munchies, but Nintendo could have handled it better. I'm looking forward to this because it looks like there will be more going on during the trips.

4. Nik:
Er, you did know to adjust the wind so that it points in the direction you want to travel, right? I didn't think sailing took that long if I had the wind with me....
Myself, I'm much happier that they decided to do something different with Wind Waker than Ocarina of Time. OoT was cool, but they already revisited many of the play concepts introduced in it in Majora's Mask. They're going to have to push themselves to keep Twilight Princess fresh....

5. I was really hoping this would have played a little more along the lines of Ocarina of Time. I thought with graphics 'close' to N64 (although I guess I must have been mistaken 'cause they certainly are not) we'd see more games take that third person angle like Banjo and K., and Zelda, even Mario. I really want a DS, but I'm not sure I could survive without one adventure game in that camera angle. But who knows, I'll probably get one and Zelda anyways.

6. Not sure if my comment went in, it hasn't showed up yet (I'm a first-timer), but I was just thinking how I wanted this game to have a camera angle more like Ocarina of Time, and for that matter I want a lot of games like that on the DS, but I'm not sure it's capable. At least they're getting Final Fantasy, that should make me a proud DS Light owner in a month or two.

7. I'm not completely insame John, just ask my friend Steve the camel over here...
On a completely unrelated note the game appears to be ready to offer something for everyone, I'll be happy to return to the world of Wind Waker. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go play through Wind Waker again to get ready for this....

8. I personally loved the sailing part. Sure, If you wanted to get somewhere and there wasn't a warp close to it it could take a while to get there, but being out on the open seas, braving storms and various types of sea creatures, gave Wind Waker the "epic quest" feel that I felt the other games are lacking.

9. "I thought with graphics 'close' to N64 (although I guess I must have been mistaken 'cause they certainly are not)"
Uhhhh...DS games do things the N64 can't even dream of. They look eons better, just compare SM64 and its DS version.

10. If the graphics are better, which I don't have one so I guess I can't judge, why haven't we seen more games, in fact almost any games in a 3rd person behind the back view. I love 2D and I like the familiar bird's-eye-view, but I just wonder what is stopping DS from having zelda, spiderman, or just a couple more third person adventure games. I don't mean to complain too much, but it's my favorite genre, and the DS has several games I AM interested in, I was just hoping for a few more.

Screen size. And how can you look at something like Phantom Hourglass and not see how much better looking it is than any N64 game? It's not using sprites...Not to mention in the trailer is HAS 3D perspective...

12. well sorry for being a complete idiot, I watched the trailer again and I have to agree, those graphics look fantastic. Especially in the sailing scenes and the end boss fight (which is that 3rd person view I love). I'm especially pleased, and now I just have to wait for the DS Light, no since in buying one now with that bad boy coming out so soon.

13. I'm surprised that this article, and none of the comments so far, have pointed this out. It looks to me like Phantom Hourglass will be completely controlled by the touch screen, not just for simple things like map notes and boomerangs, but movement and swordplay, too. Don't believe me? Watch the trailer again. Link always faces towards the little fairy glowing on the screen. And when he's attacking enemies, the fairy seems to jump towards them. And it's most obvious when Link does a spin attack: The fairy circles around him first. It looks like the fairy represents the stylus' cursor. You might think of it as a highly improved version of the controls in a Diablo-type game. I can't wait to try it out.

1. Yep, nothing we don't already know. Thanks IGN! "sailing was a total pain in the ass for some players. The constant battle against the wind (in early portions of the game), teamed with the sheer amount of time it took to get from place to place was daunting at times. We know Zelda fans that have yet to finish Wind Waker simply because of the sailing system." These people, if they exist, are lying when they say they're Zelda fans.
