Other than the usual "we're sorry" stuff, Capcom has offered to ship out the plush separately to those who've pre-ordered the game before 10/29. Also, they're providing a coupon good for 10% off (code: PWthanksyou) at their online store. If you want to read the full apology, head past the break.
To our loyal Capcom Store customers:
Capcom would like to sincerely apologize for the confusion and troubles caused by the recent shortage of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials & Tribulations in our online store. Please accept our deepest apology; We were caught off-guard by the strong fan reaction to our offer and stumbled. We are taking this very seriously and promise that we will not have issues like this going forward.
Our pre-order total for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials & Tribulations was more than double our pre-sale estimates. We found similar enthusiasm for the game throughout our retail partners which immediately created a shortage of the product. As a result, many of our loyal online customers did not receive the game until a month after it was released. We also offered a Phoenix Wright plush toy to all those who pre-ordered the game. Some of you did not receive the plush toy when the game finally did arrive.
We want to do what we can to remedy this situation. We have more Phoenix Wright plush toys in our warehouse now and all customers who placed their order before 10/23, but did not receive the Phoenix Wright plush, will be receiving one in a few days. Also, we are extending our Thank You coupon to the end of December in the hopes that it will, in a small way, thank you all for your patience, loyalty and understanding.
Please use coupon code PWthanksyou in the Capcom store at checkout for 10% off of you entire purchase through 12/31/2007. We apologize again for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Darin Johnston

I dunno, personally, a form letter and 10% off seem kinda insufficient, when a preorder's delayed over a month... Had I preordered this, I would be pretty ticked off, since on the rare occasions I preorder, its so I can be guaranteed the game the day of launch, or MAYBE a day or two after.

I did preorder this game, and ended up canning it.
The 10% discount "in my next purchase during the month of November" didn't help either.
I still have the emails sent by Capcom. I preordered on Sept 5. And I still got "the shaft".
I know for sure that I am not buying through Capcom's site, ever again, though it wasn't directly Capcom's fault, it was their provider, DigitalRiver, that screwed up. Either way, Its Capcom's fault for hiring said provider...

What about those of us that ordered the game from Capcom's website after it was released? Will we still get the plushes (which were in our carts when we ordered)?

Sucks, because when I ordered it said "Order now and receive yada yada yada", not "Preorder now yada yada yada". =/

I got that e-mail a few days ago. I got the game without the plush, and e-mailed them about it. I will never trust them again though!
I was also disappointed by that 10% off coupon. For the month of misery they caused me 10% isn't worth it. It wouldn't even cover the shipping on a game.

They should at least give these people some money. Like $50 or something.
