We (I) have been accused of having an anti-Sonic bias, so we won't go into too much detail, but, simply put, the first Sonic Rush didn't meet with our approval like it did others'. It just didn't do a good enough job of recreating the authentic Sonic feel-- mostly because of the level design. But that's just our opinion! We want to know what you think.
Did you like Sonic Rush? Do you still play it? And are you planning to go in for the sequel?

1. *sigh*
I can't even argue with you guys that the level design isn't on par with the original classics BUT the inclusion of the trick/boost system sort of make up for it. Rush is the first Sonic that I ever consistently replayed to get better times in stages because of the way you can time tricks to keep you moving forward at an even quicker pace. I bet a lot of people don't experiment with that and the dangerous boost system (I love the stage where you grind on the rail and boost through the spikes and enemies like a bursting blue vortex of super sonic speed).
And because of the 3D implemented in the game there have been some "Oh that's really neat" moments like the end of the Egyptian stage where you ride a raft and move around like it's a beat em'up. That was cool.
My two biggest requests for the Rush series is a return to more detailed backgrounds and foregrounds and the feeling that you are playing in a real world and not a maze on top of a background. And the other request is TAILS AND KNUCKLES. Blaze doesn't satisfy me enough.
