We've been known to ask you guys a question or two, but this one is long overdue. Sure, we post the stories in the homebrew community, but do you care? Are you a homebrew aficionado or could you care less? Do us a favor and let us know in the poll below and share your horror stories in the comments. Or your favorite homebrew apps.
We asked you fine folk last week if you were a member of a gaming family and you obliged by voting, producing the results you see above. Personally, we're kind of happy with the results, as it shows most of you out there have relatives who are at least acquainted with gaming. And for those of you who like to goof off with your friends hanging out at Toshi Station, get back to the Moisture Farm! It's harvest time!
We were checking around Flickr today when we came across this picture above from user Capt. Moufette. It made us think about families and to wonder just how many of you all out there enjoyed the activity with siblings, parental units and nieces/nephews alike. Perhaps your cousin is big into games? Let us know in the poll below!
Now that we've all had plenty of time to provide our two cents on this whole importing thing, it's time we checked out what most of you thought. Turns out, 49% of you are the type to not even be bothered with importing games, instead hoping that the game gets localized in your neck of the woods. We can understand that, but feel the occasional exception (Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!) is warranted.
You know, we were sitting here, just going about our day, when someone asked us what we thought about imports (it was Jump Ultimate Stars, in case you were wondering). Personally, we don't do much importing, and in thinking about our own trials and tribulations in attempting to bring foreign product to our doorstep, we wondered if many of you avid DS players out there imported. So, do you import or are the importing seas much too dangerous for you to navigate?
It would appear that, according to the DS Fanboy community at least, the Game Boy is officially dead. We can't remember the last GBA game we purchased or looked forward to, so we'd have to agree. This could bode well for thoseof us with the thrifty gamer's eye, however, as the GBA fades away, its games will be available in clearance bins in our local brick-and-mortar outlets and online sales. Now's the time to pick up some of those stellar GBA games we missed, wouldn't you say?
With the latest release schedule that Nintendo dished out, we all noticed a severe lack of Game Boy Advance games. So, we figured we'd ask you guys where you stand with the GBA. Could you care less or are you still actively purchasing and playing GBA games?
Remember when we asked you last time what night should be Game Night? Well, we kind of ran into a problem. See, none of us on the staff here are available for playing on Friday evenings, but it was too late for us to change the poll since it had already gone live. So, we sat on our heels trying to figure out how to best serve you.
We decided to re-run the poll and consider tonight a night off for Game Night. You read that right, we will not be participating in Game Night tonight. Instead, we're going to re-run the poll and choose a new night for Game Night. So do us a favor: vote and enjoy the night off. Perhaps you can use the free time to finish that sweater you were knitting?
Since Game Night has begun, we've had nothing but a blast playing with you guys. However, many have expressed that Tuesday nights just weren't the best night for playing together, so we decided to run this here nifty poll, which asks you which day you would prefer to game with us. So, go ahead and vote, let your voice be heard!
The votes are in and, in a very unsurprising turn of events, just about everyone and their grandmother wants The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. We don't blame you, as every adventure Link has been on has been an incredibly endearing one for us, why should it be any different for you all?
2007 looks to be one of the most exciting years, if not the most, gaming has ever seen. And the DS is looking to be at the top of its game in the coming year. So, we'd like to know, just exactly what game are you most excited about this year? If your choice is not represented in the available answers below, then leave a comment and tell us what you desire!
The poll has ended and we now know where most of you game. We knew during Game Night that a majority of you would be at home playing, chatting in IRC and whatnot, but we didn't know that was where you game most of the time. Also, what is up with you guys and playing on the toilet? Personally, we treat that room like a revolving door in a hotel lobby. Get through as quick as possible and don't look back.
We're in a poll mood today and were wondering where the majority of DS Fanboy readers like to play with their Nintendo handheld. Perhaps you are like us and play mostly in your own home, quietly sipping a cup of Early Grey as you scream at snaking bastards when playing Mario Kart DS over Wi-Fi. Or maybe you are a different breed, a rogue maverick who likes to game in the face of authority at the bus stop or at the library? Why not vote and let us know? If it's somewhere not included in the choices for the poll, leave a comment.
Well, it's been a week and it's time we checked in to see how many DS games you own. Surprisingly, the largest percentage of voters out of the total 2,897 who voted (much higher than our previous poll) own few games, with the smaller percentage of readers being collectors in owning over 10 games for the system. So are the majority of you the kind of gamer who borrows from a friend or do you play it and trade it?
We were stalking people checking out flickr today, when we stumbled upon a user's collection of DS games and started to wonder what the average DS user's collection was like. So, like any good blog, we decided to run a poll. Go ahead, cast your vote and let your voice be heard for the ages.
